Saddle Pad Pony

For accuracy, we recommend you follow the process without the presence of a saddle pad.

STEP 1) Place the saddle in the riding position on your horse/pony's back and make a point reference directly under the saddle nail - we suggest carefully separating the hair of your horse as a marker.

STEP 2) Remove the saddle. Place the PE Gullet Gauge on your horse's withers, aligning the gauge with the point reference you made earlier.

STEP 3) Make sure the gauge's contact area rests comfortably against the horse. Make sure the gauge is clear of the horse's withers.

STEP 4) The tool will then indicate the color of the eyelet for your horse from the PE interchangeable eyelet range.

We recommend repeating this procedure every three to four months.

We recommend that you consult a qualified saddler to adjust your saddle.
